A Note from the Directors
Ever since the West Side Civic Theatre was first conceived, we have longed for a burgeoning youth program, where the children themselves could start from scratch and experience the entire, wonderful process of creating “live” theatre. In this spirit of growth and discovery, we created this camp program last year, in the sincere hope that it would spread our passion for theatre to the youth of our area and instill in them the desire to create, build and perform the product of their own vision.
To say the vision was successful is an understatement. Last year, we watched with tears in our eyes as that first group lived up to all of our expectations and beyond.
Now, here we are in our second year and with even more excitement than before as we share the performance of “G2K The King and I” with all of you tonight! We are so very grateful to be performing the second musical of the WSCT Summer Youth Drama Camp with your exceptional children!
Thank you for sharing them with us! It has been our divine gift! We have all had a wonderful three weeks together!
