Current Fundraisers:

This summer, we need to raise an additional $20,000 to supplement the town’s funding, and to pay for sound equipment that the town can no longer provide. The average budget for each show is now close to $30,000. Of that figure, $16,000 will go to sound and light rental, $2,000 will be allocated for modest set construction and an additional $2,000 goes to costuming. That’s $20,000 and is the full amount that the town can provide. That does not include music, musicians (most of whom work as volunteers), a music director, a director, stage manager and assistant stage manager, programs, posters, back stage dressing areas, portable toilets, licensing and rental of materials (which must be ordered from NY at a cost of about $2,000 a show), props, special makeup and wigs and any other additional material, which varies from show to show (for instance, Beauty and the Beast required an additional $6,000 for special costuming and $2,000 for an Equity Guest Performer). Hairspray required special wigs and paid specialty musicians!
